The transfer window remains open, with Pompey still to conduct business ahead of the new season.

Mousinho confirmed after Saturday’s draw at Darmstadt that the 22-year-old is poised to seal his exit in the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, gossip and speculation continues to do the rounds as Championship managers bid to strengthen their ranks in the coming weeks.

Here are the latest transfer headlines involving the Blues’ rivals.

Cardiff City advance in Lincoln City swoop

Cardiff City are preparing for life back in the Championship after a year away in League One.

The Bluebirds, of course, secured automatic promotion from the third-tier alongside Lincoln City after a brilliant campaign under Brian Barry-Murphy.

However, the Welsh side are reportedly set to raid their fellow Championship new-boys in an eye-catching piece of business this summer.

Football Insider have revealed Cardiff are in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Imps attacking midfielder Jack Moylan on a permanent basis.

The report suggests the Bluebirds are closing in on the 24-year-old’s signature having established himself as a standout figure at Sincil Bank last term.

The Republic of Ireland international enjoyed an outstanding campaign with Lincoln, netting 12 goals and notching up seven assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.

Now, it is being claimed Moylan is set to make the switch to the Imps’ fellow Championship rivals, bringing an end to his two-and-a-half-year stay at Sincil Bank.

Mousinho’s men make the trip to Lincolnshire to face Chris Cohen and Tom Shaw’s newly-promoted side, who are expected to be without the exciting playmaker, on August 22.

West Ham ambitious summer recruitment is poised to continue, having set their sights on a Premier League striker.

The Hammers, who are already reportedly in talks with Celtic over a £25m deal for in-demand midfielder Arne Engels, have identified Sunderland attacker Wilson Isidor as a potential target in the window.

According to transfer guru Alan Nixon, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side want the Haiti international, with the Black Cats expected to cash in this summer.

It is believed Sunderland have placed a £20m valuation on the 25-year-old, with the report suggesting the Championship new-boys are willing to pay eye-watering figure.

The east London outfit do have money to spend in the window following the £85m and £60m sales of Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville to Spurs and Al Hilal respectively.

Isidor, who recently impressed at the World Cup with Haiti, netted six goals in 32 Premier League appearances at the Stadium of Light last term as the Black Cats secured European football.

It remains to be seen whether West Ham will complete any potential deal ahead of next Saturday’s showdown against Pompey in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
