Pompey are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they face newly-promoted Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.
The Blues will be looking to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat to QPR last weekend, which leaves John Mousinho’s men in the relegation zone after the opening round of fixtures.
The Imps, now under joint-managers Tom Shaw and Chris Cohen, will also be targeting their first three points of the season after suffering a 2-1 reverse to Middlesbrough.
Pompey were without a number of key players for their Championship curtain raiser, with Mousinho expected to provide fresh updates on his current crop of absentees in his pre-match press conference later this week.
We’ve taken a look at the early team and injury news from both camps ahead of this Saturday’s contest at Sincil Bank.
9. Keshi Anderson - Out
The winger continues to remain out of action after tearing his quad during the Blues' pre-season tour in Ireland last month. Anderson, who suffered two separate hamstring injuries following his January arrival, is now expected to return in October. | Graham Hunt/ProSportsImages
10. Jacob Farrell - Out
The Aussie suffered a recurrence of his groin issue in pre-season and was expected to miss eight weeks of action. Farrell isn't anticipated to return yet, with his injury set-back also hindering his chances of a summer exit. 11. Mark Kosznovszky - Out
The Hungarian remains sidelined with a long-term knee injury, which is expected to keep him out until the new year. It is likely Kosznovszky will be deregistered from the Blues' 25-man EFL squad for the first half of the campaign. | Habibur Rahman

12. Adam Jackson - Doubt
The long-serving defender's future could lie away from Sincil Bank, having missed the majority of the Imps' title-winning campaign after undergoing a hernia operation. The 32-year-old is back in training, though, having missed the Carabao Cup match against Derby and Saturday's defeat to Middlesbrough. | Getty Images
