Pompey ended their pre-season friendly schedule with a goalless draw at SV Darmstadt.
The German club’s keeper Marcel Schuhen kept his side in it during the first half, while Colby Bishop also hit the post after seven minutes.
However, there was nothing to separate the sides after the break with very little goal action at either end.
And here are our Pompey player ratings...
5. Conor Shaughnessy - 7
(Replaced by Hayden Matthews on 82 mins) Been an encouraging pre-season schedule in terms of minutes and being injury-free, which should delight everyone. Another solid showing and collected a late yellow card. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
6. Zak Swanson - 6
(Replaced by Odin Bailey on 46 mins) His longest pre-season friendly outing so far after returning from a knee operation. Really important minutes in the tank and made a couple of runs from left-back. | Getty Images
7. Luke Le Roux - 7
(Replaced by Thomas Waddingham on 46) Mousinho turned to his only available number six and Le Roux didn’t let him down. One one crunching midfield tackle and used the ball simply and sensibly. | Simon Roe/ProSportsImages
8. Rocco Shein - 7
(Replaced by Arvin Appiah on 76 mins) Growing nicely into his Pompey role, some comfort on the ball and also put in several excellent corners. Early left-foot shot drew a scrambling save from the goalkeeper. | Dan Minto/ProSportsImages
