The second defeat in a week at the University of Portsmouth Stadium was fully deserved, turning in an even more dreadful display than Tuesday night in the Papa Johns Trophy.
Plenty of shocking Pompey displays – and here are our player ratings...
9. Joe Morrell - 5
Kept battling away and one of few emerging with any credit in current wretched run but should have done better against Dempsey for second goal . Photo: National World
10. Ryan Tunnicliffe - 4
(Replaced by Louis Thompson on 83 mins) Frustratingly erratic display and just couldn’t stamp his authority in midfield, particularly when in possession. Match to forget. Photo: National World
11. Owen Dale - 6 - MOM
Tries so hard but nothing seems to come off at the moment. Looks frustrated and needs some sort of end product to often bright play. Photo: National World
12. Michael Jacobs - 5
(Replaced by Ronan Curtis on 66 mins). Given rare start but sadly none of the magic he can provide. Unable to inspire Blues creatively and disappointing display. Photo: National World
