New head coach Danny Cowley has already implemented parts of his football philosophy in a short space of time.
Different formations have been used, alongside a mantra of fast attacking football and playing out from the back.
Some players, let’s be honest, have adapted better than others.
And with Cowley and his brother Nicky earmarked for a long-term Fratton Park stay, they will naturally look to bring in their own players to suit their needs.
But what does that mean for the curreny squad?
Here, Freddie Webb looks at each first-teamer to decide whether they have a future at Fratton Park beyond this season.

13. Tom Naylor (Central midfield)
Age: 29. Total appearances: 147. Stats this season: 52 appearances, 8 goals, 0 assists Contract Expiry Date: June 2021 Verdict: Pompey’s captain has added more goals to his game this season. But the 29-year-old’s performances have declined deeper into the playoff run-in. The gruelling schedule looks to have taken a toll on his passing ability, which the Cowleys rely upon desperately for the side's build-up play. There's little doubt Pompey will want to keep Naylor. The question is, will they be able to afford him? And will that impact on finances to freshen up a midfield that could do with a revamp? Photo: Joe Pepler

14. Ben Close (Central midfield)
Age: 24. Total appearances: 188 appearances. Stats this season: 26 appearances, one goal, one assist Contract Expiry Date: June 2021, with a one-year extension option Verdict: The midfielder has been frozen out for long spells this season. But when he's played - mostly under the Cowleys - you can tell he has the technical acumen which not many other midfielders in the division have. Even though the central midfielder can go missing in matches, his range of passing will be very useful under the new head coach. Expect him to stay - something that wasn't conceivable just a few weeks ago. Photo: Joe Pepler

15. Andy Cannon (Central midfielder)
Age: 25. Total appearances: 78. Stats this season: 48 appearances, 2 goals, 5 assists Contract Expiry Date: June 2021, with a one-year extension option Verdict: Cannon brings so many qualities fans might miss if they’re just looking at the goals and assists chart. He’s proven to suit a strong pressing midfield line, which is exactly on brand for the Cowleys. His winner against Wigan will have gone down well with the new boss. But if other options become available, Cannon might not stand up to the competition. Photo: Simon Davies

16. George Byers (Central midfielder)
Age: 24. Total appearances: 13. Stats this season: 13 appearances, 0 goals, 1 assist Contract Expiry Date: May 2021 Verdict: Despite being billed as Championship quality; Byers has largely flattered to deceive. His assist against Bristol Rovers for Curtis’ goal was exactly the piece of intricate skill Pompey fans would have loved to have seen more of. It's hard to image him returning once his loan spell comes to an end, though. Photo: Joe Pepler
