Including the five loanees, 18 players see their commitments to the Blues at an end.
Of course, there could also be movement in the January window on both temporary and permanent additions as Danny Cowley rehapes his squad.
We’ve assessed how things stand with those players whose deals are due to come to a close.

9. Jay Mingi
Has really come to the fore and Danny Cowley has already made it clear a new deal has been a priority. With the midfielder’s increasing impact on games, the 22-year-old is beginning to develop into an asset. Photo: Jason Brown

10. Ronan Curtis
Fascinating to see how the winger’s future plays out next month and beyond. His days at Pompey looked over in the summer, with all parties feeling the time was right to move on. Lots of noise but concrete interest at the right price never materialised, however. Now Curtis could be set to negotiate a move elsewhere as a free agent and pocket a signing-on bonus interested parties would’ve needed for a fee in the closed season. Photo: Simon Davies

11. Jayden Reid
What terrible fortunes the winger has endured. Now fighting back from his second cruciate knee injury after suffering the injury in training. Pompey have pledged their support and the hope is Reid can get back to the condition which had him catching the eye in pre-season. Photo: Rogan

12. Alfie Bridgman
Like Gifford, out to show his worth after gaining a third-year scholarship. Grafted in pre-season where his attitude impressed and has earned accolades while on loan with Bognor this term, along with Malta at age-group international level. Photo: Jason Brown
