20 Championship stars Portsmouth could sign for NOTHING this summer

There are some eye-catching names on a list of Championship players now approaching the final months of their contracts with their current clubs.

John Mousinho and his Portsmouth players are solely focused on fighting a successful battle against relegation from the Championship this season.

Saturday’s narrow home defeat against play-off contenders Hull City has left Pompey looking nervously over their shoulders at the drop zone and they will head into Saturday’s visit to fellow strugglers Blackburn Rovers sitting five points and three places clear of the bottom three.

There is confidence Mousinho’s men will remain in the second tier this season and should they do so, there will be a desire to strengthen the Pompey squad during the summer as they look to take the next steps in becoming firm Championship stalwarts.

There are a number of players across the Championship that are now entering the final months of their current deals and that would mean they will be available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign - and there are some very familiar faces amongst them.
