John Mousinho has spoken about ‘difficult decisions and difficult conversations’ as he weighs up changes during a gruelling period of three games in six days.
Here’s how we think the Blues could line up for tonight’s clash with that fellow Championship strugglers.

5. RCB Regan Poole
Having spent 10 months out with a knee injury, Poole has been with the first-team since mid-September, starting the last five matches. However, considering the busy schedule since coming back into the side, he may well be rested for either Cardiff or Sheffield Wednesday. Photo: Jason Brown

6. CB Tom McIntyre
Produced his finest display in a Pompey shirt at QPR, as acknowledged by John Mousinho. Before returning against West Brom last month, he had gone eight months without a competitive outing and, like Poole, may require resting either against Cardiff or Sheffield Wednesday. But with Conor Shaughnessy and Ibane Bowat injury, only Ryley Towler could step in. Photo: Jason Brown

7. LCB Connor Ogilvie
Had a tricky start to the season at left-back, but has looked far more assured operating on the left of a back three during the last two matches. Always defensively strong and another good showing at QPR. Photo: Jason Brown

8. CM Andre Dozzell
John Mousinho has spoken of ‘difficult decisions and difficult conversations’ when selecting his team for Cardiff. The potential need to rotate during the busy period could well see Marlon Pack drop out, opening the door for Andre Dozzell’s return. Certainly he would be a safer fit than the inexperience of 19-year-old Abdoulaye Kamara. Photo: Jason Brown
