‘Baffles me. Best line-up we’ve had. Disagree with this’ – Fratton faithful have plenty to say on Pompey XI v Burnley

And they’ve had plenty to say on the matter, with the Blues head coach making two changes to the side beaten by West Brom last Sunday.

Out go Jordan Williams and Andre Dozzell to be replaced by Regan Poole and Freddie Potts, as Pompey remain without Conor Shaughnessy, Jacob Farrell, Mark O’Mahony, Colby Bishop and Kusini Yengi.

According to some, it’s the best starting line-up they’ve seen from the Blues so far this sesaon. For others, though, there’s a host of reasons to pick holes in the latest Mousinho team selection.

Here’s a selection of the views shared on X, formerly Twitter...

@OliverHarry: Finally got Dozzell out! A better team overall. Would have played Saydee as 10 and Sorensen in front. Don’t like Lane as he’s pretty ineffective on this league. Hopefully we can get Farrell in next game.

@Will_Mason7: Saydee up top baffles me! Swanson at right back baffles me.

@CharlieFarnsba9: Disagree with this; Williams is an out and out RB, superior to Swanson and gets dropped. Good to see Poole back and Potts coming in but Mous has dropped the ball with the RB selection IMO.

@84Knight: Interesting that we’ve seen nothing of Potts yet, and Kamara has always been the one to come on, yet Potts is the one who has come in to start.

@andymp345: Would started Williams at rb. When he actually in right position he been ok but other than that probably our best line up we had all season. And Potts is gonna be a machine today!

@JackDavis10: Getting there, surprised to see Swanson over Williams, shame Farrell has not made it, excited to see Potts. Best 11 of season so far.

@Adam_G_P_: Thought we’d see Farrell at least on the bench but glad we’ve got 2 actual CB’s playing.

@PO4PompeyStats: Getting there. Feels like #Pompey are Farrell and Yengi away from properly giving oppositions something to worry about. Liking the increased presence and energy going through the spine of the team today.

@wayneharrispfc: I’d like to see Lane on the left today where he belongs. I think he's more likely to track back and help Ogilvie too. It's the wide areas that have hurt us this season. The quick breaks. This is where we're vulnerable. Murphy and Lane both need to dig in.

@kevypiow: Jacob farrell is literally awol! Teams will go straight at ogilvie could be a tou
