The Blues came back from Jack Marriott’s fifth-minute goal with Dane Scarlett striking twice to lead them to a fifth win from their opening seven League One fixtures.
There were some excellent performances from Danny Cowley’s men – and here are our ratings...
5. Clark Robertson - 8
Asked to play left-back and took on the challenge with minimum of fuss. Defensively excellent and what a ball he put into the box for Dane Scarlett’s first. Photo: National World
6. Owen Dale - 7
(Replaced on 66 mins by Reeco Hackett) One excellent cross in first half which Curtis should have headed home, but largely didn’t make good enough use of the ball in his possession. Photo: National World
7. Tom Lowery - 7
(Replaced by Joe Morrell in the 77th minute). Another encouraging display from the diminutive midfielder, recognised by a great reception and a song from Pompey fans upon his substitution. Photo: National World
8. Marlon Pack - 8
Another strong display from the all-action midfielder who looks a level above League One. Such a central figure to this early promotion challenge. Photo: NationalWorld
