Met Office issues weather warnings for ice across Hampshire with disruptions expected
Weather warnings across the country have been issued for ice which could cause “disruption”.
From midnight to 10am tomorrow morning (January 7) yellow weather warnings will be in effect for the majority of the country including Hampshire as forecasts predict icy conditions.

As a result, disruption is anticipated with the Met Office saying that icy patches could pose a risk on roads that have not been gritted.
The Met Office explained: “Icy patches overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning could lead to some disruption. Following a band of precipitation which clears southeast overnight, clear skies will develop for many areas on Tuesday night will lead to icy patches on untreated wet surfaces. This could lead to some minor disruption especially on Wednesday morning.”
This comes as an amber cold health alert has also been issued for the south east today where it will remain in place until 12pm on January 11, with the government website saying the “forecast weather is expected to have significant impacts across health and social care services.”
The weather across the Hampshire area is forecast to be “dry, windy but bright with sunny spells” tomorrow with outbreaks of rain overnight.
