WATCH: Eastern Road crash leaves debris scattered across scene
A video shows debris scattered across the Eastern Road last night after a crash.
The busy road was closed in both directions following the incident, believed to be a collision, with reports of a car seen on its roof.
Police and emergency services were on the scene, with a diversion in place. The video shows the debris strewn across the closed road which was being cleared up.
The road reopened later in the evening but the closure led to heavy traffic on other routes exiting the city as a result of the football traffic with Pompey having played at Fratton Park and many football fans avoiding the area.
The M275 was also busy with delays, as well as a build-up of traffic through Hilsea.
Hampshire Police have been approached for more details on the incident.
