M27 slip road reopens following emergency repairs to "infrastructure defect"

National Highways Traffic Officers have responded to an “infrastructure defect” on the westbound carriageway of the M27 this morning (January 20), with service providers at the scene.

As a result, the slip road was closed while emergency repairs were completed, causing some delays.

National Highways South East have taken to X to confirm the road has now reopened, saying: “The #M27 in #Hampshire westbound access slip has reopened following a completed repair of an infrastructure defect.

“Thank you for your patience, please have a safe onward journey.”
