The fire affected the garden and kitchen of the home, and also spread to the garden and extension roof of a neighbouring property.
Firefighters used three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations shortly before 7am.
Gordon Miller, the owner of the neighbouring property that had damage to the bathroom, said: “It was lucky enough that nobody was hurt, everyone was asleep in their beds.”
“You could see the smoke from Baffins.”
