Eight-week-old dogs dubbed the Toy Story puppies are looking for new homes after sad start in life
These puppies are looking for forever home
Four ‘sweet’ dogs, dubbed the Toy Story puppies, are looking for a home after enduring a rough start in life.
The Stubbington Ark is currently on the hunt for loving families looking to adopt a cane corso mastiff puppy from a litter of four which ended up in the rescue centre’s care at five-weeks-old.
Rex, Bonnie, Hamm and Dolly, who are now eight-weeks-old, have spent the last few weeks in foster homes, with Harry Foster, from the marketing team at Stubbington Ark, saying: "The puppies came into our care at 5 weeks old. They were underweight as mum had rejected them, and sadly the owner could not meet their welfare needs. They are all doing extremely well in foster homes, and are now ready to find their forever families."

All of the puppies, “generally take most things in their stride, but the girls (Dolly and Bonnie) can be a little nervous in new situations.” Rex and Hamm are full of beans and enjoy playing with their toys, but the team have identified that Rex can be slightly unsure when left on his own. His adopted family would need to be around all of the time initially to help him settle into his new life.
Stubbington Ark added: “We are looking for dedicated adopters who are prepared to put in the time and effort it takes when raising a puppy. Ideally adopters will have experience with larger breed dogs.
“All the puppies are super playful and have lovely personalities. They enjoy playing tug, having cuddles and running around the house after their littermates. They all generally take most things in their stride, but the girls (Dolly and Bonnie) can be a little nervous in new situations.”
These puppies can be homed in a variety of different set ups and family dynamics but all adopters should be prepared to alter their life and prepare their house for the arrival of a puppy.
They will all need access to a private, secure garden and can be rehomed with children aged 12 and older. A dog savvy cat and/or a calm dog that would be comfortable with a puppy would also be accepted but it should be noted that they can be “nippy” at times during their puppy phase.
The adoption fee is £250 per dog. For more information about the Toy Story puppies, click here.
