Criminal investigation launched over allegations of 'financial irregularities' at Hampshire FA
A criminal investigation has been launched over allegations of “financial irregularities” at Hampshire FA, The News can exclusively reveal.

The authority, responsible for developing the game across the county at all levels, said footballing operations would continue as normal while the probe was under way.
A Hampshire FA spokesperson said: “There have been allegations of financial irregularities at Hampshire FA. We will continue to operate and serve football in Hampshire as normal. As this is now the subject of a police investigation, we are unable to comment further.”
The News understands the allegations could involve money that should have been paid to HMRC over a number of years but this has not been confirmed. The government department would not comment.
Police have been approached for comment.
