A loving lurcher who is struggling in kennels after being returned to a rescue centre is looking for her special someone to give her a chance of happiness.

Three-year-old Marley is a sweet, energetic and playful girl who is desperately hoping to find her perfect match after finding herself in kennels at RSPCA Stubbington Ark for a second time through no fault of her own.

Becci Denizhan, from the rescue centre, said: “Marley is sad and confused being in rescue kennels and is in desperate need of a home she can call her own. She is really friendly with people and makes the team at The Stubbington Ark laugh everyday with her playful nature.

“He did amazing work with her whilst she was with him - he worked hard on her dog reactivity which is nowhere near what it was before, in fact she was even being socialised with other dogs.”

Marley first arrived in RSPCA care in October 2024 and was initially rehomed in June 2025 but has sadly returned last month and is now desperate to make her way from the kennels to a comfy sofa.

Becci added: “She's been spending time in the office with us because she hates being in the kennels, and she's been a wonderful girl, with the potential to be a great addition in the life of someone who can take dogs to work, or who works from home.

“She will need someone calm and confident to continue giving her lots of positive experiences with dogs without overwhelming her. Marley also finds it difficult to be left alone so will need someone to be with her all the time until she can learn that it’s ok to be on her own.”
