Pubs in Havant, Gosport and Waterlooville to offer free pint deal for England World Cup matchdays

Football fans to be rewarded for settling in at pubs for England’s World Cup games

With the kick-off for the 2026 World Cup a matter of days away, five Hampshire pubs have announced a free pint offer for fans on England match days.

As excitement builds ahead of the opening game on Thursday, June 11, one pub chain has decided to reward pub-goers who want to settle in for the full evening of football. Proper Pubs, the community wet-led operating division of Admiral Taverns has launched an initiative where customers who pre-pay for four matching draught pints will receive a fifth for free.

A Proper Pubs spokesperson said: “The ‘Straight Through Crew’ offer is designed for fans who settle in for the long haul. On England matchdays, customers who pre-pay for four matching draught pints will receive their fifth on the house.

“Fans are issued a matchday stamp card at the bar, which is ticked off as they collect each pint, ensuring less time is spent queuing and more time cheering. It’s a tactical masterstroke for those looking for world-class value while watching the Three Lions.”

England start their tournament on Wednesday, June 17 against Croatia at 9pm before going on to face Ghana on Tuesday, June 23 at 9pm. The final game of the group will then take place on Saturday, June 27 with the Three Lions facing Panama at 10pm.

The below Hampshire pubs are taking part in the initiative:

  • White Horse, Gosport
  • Swallow, Havant
  • Woodman, Waterlooville
  • Bricklayers Arms, Southampton
  • Salisbury Arms, Southampton
