Joey said: “We wanted to open our own business to build something for our future, for our children, and we just really enjoy food and we wanted to create a place where people can come and get a decent size portion for not a ridiculous price that everyone can actually enjoy.
“It’s gone really really well, we are getting busier by the day and we’ve been progressing at a decent, steady pace - the main thing we wanted to focus on is that you can get nice food and leave full, that’s the most important thing.”
Joey said the pending challenge will give customers 45 minutes to complete their beast of a breakfast, with people bagging a t-shirt and a spot on their wall if they finish it in time.
Merlin said: “The last owners left the place in a bit of state so it just us about a month and a half to get the shop ready and as you can see it is now ready to go and has turned out really nice.”
