Ding Dong, a unique homeware store co-owned by Danny Elsom, has opened in Cascades Shopping Centre boasting fun and affordable items. Situated in Kingswell Path, the shop has had a good reception from customers.
Danny said: “The reaction has been amazing. So far the people that have been coming in, the reaction has been brilliant and we are seeing a lot of people returning as well which is good.
“Our name is a humorous take on walking into someone’s home, as predominantly a lot of our products are homeware. At this time of year we have quite a few Christmas bits but going into the new year we will have a lot more homeware goods.”
One of the key aims for the business is to keep items affordable while helping people to brighten up their homes.
Danny said: “The important thing is to keep the prices as low as possible but also have lots of variety, humour but also practical products.
“We do a lot of textiles and have a lot of humorous animal products which people seem to love. Our tagline is ‘un-boring your home’ and it’s exactly that, with the animal products they are practical but they are fun and just liven up your home.”
