Opening date confirmed for long-awaited Burger King in Gosport - 1,000 free burgers up for grabs
The opening date for a new fast food joint has been confirmed
The long wait is almost over as a new Burger King confirms its opening date and a free food giveaway.
Situated in Fareham Trade Park, Gosport, the fast food joint, which will accommodate dining-in and a drive-thru lane, will officially open on Friday, August 14 after months of anticipation.
To mark the occasion, the chain will be giving away 1,000 free burgers between 10am and 9pm with the 100th customer winning a year’s supply of Burger King. Limited-edition Burger King tote bags will also be given out to mark the opening.

Charlie, restaurant manager at the new Burger King site, said: " My team and I can't wait to welcome everyone through our doors and become part of the Fareham community. We're excited to celebrate the opening by giving away 1,000 of our iconic burgers and welcoming both new and loyal Burger King fans to our brand-new restaurant."
The new site, which has created 25 new jobs for the local area, has been fitted with 50 solar panels, which are estimated to generate 23,943 kWh of renewable electricity annually, supporting the restaurant's commitment to operating more sustainably.
The launch of the new venue comes after the building sat vacant for years after Canadian coffee chain Tim Horton’s was granted permission to open there in early 2023. However, progress stalled and the plans never came to fruition with Burger King then securing the site earlier this year.
Following the launch, the restaurant will be open seven days a week between 8am and 11pm.
