"New vibes" at The Chambers in Southsea as it reopens with new name following "exciting" rebrand
An eccentric restaurant and bar, which has been a mainstay in the city since 2012, has reopened with a new name and look following a major rebrand.
The Chambers, in Landport Terrace, opened its doors on February 6 after undergoing a considerable rebrand and refurbishment to inject a new lease of life into the site after more than a decade.
Maintaining its links to previously being a solicitors, the venue, which has also introduced a new menu, will now be known as Barristers Lounge.

The owners announced the “exciting” rebrand at the start of the year, where it confirmed it would be closed for a few weeks for the work to be completed.
In a previous post, The Chambers said: “Saying goodbye to an era we loved, and hello to something we’ve been dreaming of. New name, new restaurant.”
On February 3, The Chambers posted an update on its Facebook, saying: “We’re excited to officially introduce Barristers Lounge, our new restaurant with a fresh new look and a whole new vibe to match.
“Designed to bring you great food, a welcoming atmosphere and a stylish setting, The Barristers is all about creating a space you’ll love to dine in.”
Barristers Lounge will be dishing up a range of culinary delights including pan seared scallops, steak and mussels, as well as a Sunday roast.
