"Goodbye to an era we loved": The Chambers closes for refurbishment with exciting rebrand lined up
One of Portsmouth’s most quirky restaurants is being replaced with something the owners have been “dreaming of” as it undergoes a major refresh and rebrand.
The Chambers, in Landport Terrace, which has been dubbed Portsmouth’s very own Tardis with a surprising capacity of 100 despite its small exterior, has closed its doors to customers this month - with a replacement lined up.

The restaurant and bar, which is decked out with unique antiques and taxidermy, opened its doors in 2012 and has been firm fixture in the city ever since.
But in recent weeks, the venue has confirmed it is undergoing a refurbishment followed by a rebrand as the owners eagerly anticipate something new.
The Chambers posted to social media saying: “Saying goodbye to an era we loved, and hello to something we’ve been dreaming of. New name, new restaurant—coming soon.
More updates to follow.
