A new wine bar has captured the attention of curious residents, with its owners keeping the venue shrouded in mystery as they drop hints about its location on social media.
Secret Den, a new wine bar and kitchen, is preparing to open in Denmead this summer – but beyond that, little is known.

The venue’s exact location, opening date and the identities of its owners are all being kept under wraps, with cryptic posts on social media offering only subtle hints about the new concept.
One of Secret Den’s owners exclusively told The News: "What started as an idea which we thought would be popular within the Denmead community has quickly turned into something far bigger than we ever imagined.
“One question keeps appearing over and over again: ‘Where is it?’ This mystery is part of the story. What we can reveal is that Secret Den is being created for people who feel the area has been missing something. Somewhere to gather, unwind and enjoy great food, drinks and conversation in a setting that’s sophisticated, relaxed and quietly becoming the place everyone wants to discover.”
Secret Den will offer curated wine flights, craft beers, sharing charcuterie boards, small plates and a rotating line-up of street food designed to keep people coming back for more.
The owner added: “Every detail is being carefully considered to create the kind of place that makes people never want to leave. The excitement has been incredible, and it’s clear there’s a genuine appetite for something new. For now, the location remains a secret. The clues are out there, and some people are getting very close. But where would the fun be in revealing everything at once?
“And when the doors finally open, those who’ve been following the journey from the beginning will know they were part of the story long before anyone else. Until then, keep watching, keep guessing, and keep an eye out for the clues. Some secrets are worth keeping."
