Last One Laughing comedian Maisie Adam visits Powder Monkey Taphouse

Pints and laughter were on the menu at Powder Monkey Taphouse over the weekend after popular comedian, Maisie Adam, paid the Priddy’s Hard site a visit.

The 32-year-old, from Yorkshire, is a regular on Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You and The Last Leg, with her most recent television appearance on Amazon Prime’s Last One Laughing where she starred alongside Bob Mortimer, Lou Sanders, Sam Campbell and more.

A spokesperson for Powder Monkey Group said: “We were really pleased to welcome comedian Maisie Adam to the Taphouse over the weekend. She popped in with family while visiting the area, and it was a lovely, low-key visit. With ties to the local area, it’s not her first time at Powder Monkey, as she’s previously visited our markets.”

The comedian will be back in Portsmouth for her Whatsherface tour at the Kings Theatre on February 17.

The exciting visit comes after the Powder Monkey Brewing Co. announced its revival of Pompey Royal, one of Portsmouth’s most historic beers last month.

Originally brewed the city as Brickwoods Best before becoming Pompey Royal in the late 1970s, the beer developed a loyal following across local pubs and has been brewed by several breweries over the years, but has always remained closely tied to Portsmouth.

Andy Burdon, CEO at Powder Monkey Brewing Co. previously said: “We see Pompey Royal as more than just a beer — it’s part of Portsmouth’s identity. This is about making sure it remains a living part of the city, not something that fades into history.”
