'Heavy hearts' as Italian restaurant Amuri - Bella Calabria announces closure
Restaurant closes
The owners of an Italian restaurant, which underwent a rebrand earlier this year, has announced they are closing down.
Amuri - Bella Calabria, in London Road, North End, which has been part of the food scene in the city since 2009, has taken to social media to confirm it will permanently close.

The restaurant posted to Facebook on Wednesday, October 21, saying: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the permanent closure of Amuri – Bella Calabria.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all our wonderful customers who have supported us throughout the years.”
In May, the business rebranded to focus on its Sicilian roots and introduced new signage and a new menu featuring penne Castellana and penne alla contadina.
The post continued: “Thank you for every visit, every celebration, every kind word, and every special memory we have shared together.
“You have been more than just customers to us — you have been part of our family, and we will always be grateful for your loyalty, kindness and support. Although this chapter has come to an end, the beautiful memories will always remain. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey.”
