"Plenty to see and do" - Festive Late-Night Thursdays announced for Fareham Shopping Centre as part of town's regeneration
Fareham shoppers will have more time to pick up gifts this December with two late night festive shopping events.
It is the first time that Fareham Shopping Centre will host extended hours over the festive period with many stores remaining open till 8pm on Thursday, December 11 and 18. As well as extra time to pick up presents, there will also be fun seasonal activities for all the family to enjoy.
The move to introduce late night shopping is in line with the town’s regeneration as the council look to increase footfall in the town centre.
Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Simon Martin, said: “Fareham Borough Council is committed to the regeneration of Fareham Town Centre and part of this work includes the creation of events to drive footfall into the centre and make Fareham a ‘go-to’ place for all ages.
“Our Festive Thursdays late-night openings will not only be an opportunity for people to get their Christmas shopping, but will be a experience for all the family, with plenty to see and do while you browse. This is the first time the Council has trialled late night shopping events, so I encourage residents to come along to see what we have to offer.”
