On Saturday (November 22) the shopping centre held its Christmas Launch in aid of Genie's Wish Charity where shoppers had the opportunity to meet amazing characters from the Wickedly Duo, The Big Blue Dog, The Elf who sits on the shelf.
There was also face painting, fun fundraising games and festive lights, as well as musical entertainment, with a packed programme of festive entertainment and activities also throughout November and December. Shoppers can enjoy performances from local choirs, bands and musical ensembles – including Live Jazz Band, Gosport and Fareham Orchestra and Whiteley Primary School Choir – filling the air with classic carols and Christmas favourites from Sunday 30th November.
Outside Cineworld, the Whiteley Artisan Market is also running across multiple weekends, showcasing handmade arts and crafts, unique gifts, independent food producers and seasonal treats.
Mia Gordon, centre director at Whiteley, said: “The most wonderful time of the year has arrived, and we’re thrilled to see Whiteley sparkling with festive decorations once again. From live music and artisan markets to family-friendly entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this Christmas.
“Whether you’re visiting for a shopping trip, a festive meal or simply to soak up the atmosphere, we can’t wait to welcome everyone and celebrate the start of Christmas together.”
