"It will be a great addition" - excitement as work to begin on new Whiteley Wetherspoons next month
Work is set to begin next month on a new Wetherspoons in Hampshire.
Workers will be onsite on February 9 to begin converting the old Jurassic Grill at Whiteley Shopping Centre to the popular national pub chain. Once opened it will be the shopping centre’s first pub.
While the work has yet to begin the aim is for it to open on April 4.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “We are pleased that development work on the new Wetherspoon in Fareham is set to start in early February.
“We look forward to opening the pub and believe it will be a great addition to the area’s social scene.”
