Work has been underway since January preparing the Waterloo Park site in Waterlooville for the new supermarket, fast food chain and coffee shop. However no timeframe had been confirmed regarding the opening of the new stores.

A sign has now appeared at the site confirming the three chains will be “coming soon” and are expected to open in winter 2026.

Havant Borough Council granted permission in October 2024 for the three new shops to be built despite objections from a number of local residents. The planning was for three separate buildings to be constructed with 169 car parking spaces central to each unit.
