Stagecoach South supports Elizabeth Foundation Summer Fayre
Stagecoach South's Portsmouth100 bus played a starring role at The Elizabeth Foundation's Summer Fayre, helping celebrate Portsmouth's rich heritage while supporting one of the region's most valued charities.

The unique Portsmouth100 bus visited The Elizabeth Foundation's Family Centre in Cosham for the charity's annual Summer Fayre, where hundreds of families enjoyed a day of games, crafts, entertainment and community activities.
As part of the celebrations, visitors had the opportunity to step aboard the specially transformed double-decker bus and explore an exhibition celebrating 100 years of Portsmouth's social and cultural history.
Created by Stagecoach South in partnership with Portsmouth Museums as part of the Portsmouth100 centenary celebrations, the bespoke bus showcases a curated exhibition highlighting the people, places and events that have shaped the city over the last century. The exhibition has been developed with contributions from schools, colleges and community groups from across Portsmouth, ensuring it reflects the voices and stories of local communities.
The visit to The Elizabeth Foundation formed part of Stagecoach South's wider commitment to supporting the communities it serves. As a local bus operator, Stagecoach recognises that its role extends beyond providing transport by working alongside charities, community organisations and local events that make a lasting difference to people's lives.
The Elizabeth Foundation is the UK's largest single provider of education services for babies and preschool children with all degrees of deafness. Through its Ofsted Outstanding Family Centre in Hampshire, alongside its home learning support and innovative Let's Listen and Talk online programme, the charity helps young deaf children learn to listen and talk while providing vital support to their families.
Marc Reddy, managing director of Stagecoach South, said: "The Portsmouth100 bus was created to celebrate the city's history, but it is equally important that it becomes part of the communities whose stories it tells. We were delighted to support The Elizabeth Foundation's Summer Fayre and to help shine a spotlight on the incredible work the charity does for deaf children and their families. As a community bus operator, we're proud to support events like this that bring people together, celebrate local organisations and make a positive difference across Portsmouth."
The Portsmouth100 bus continues to visit communities across the city as part of the Portsmouth100 celebrations, ensuring local history remains accessible while strengthening connections with the people and organisations that make Portsmouth such a vibrant place to live.
