Stagecoach South Calls on residents to celebrate Portsmouth NHS heroes

Residents across Portsmouth are being invited to celebrate the outstanding NHS staff who make a difference in their communities, with the chance to win a month of free bus travel for their local healthcare hero.

To mark the NHS's 78th birthday, Stagecoach has launched its nationwide 'NHS Heroes' competition, encouraging members of the public to nominate an NHS worker who has gone above and beyond in supporting patients, colleagues or the wider community.

Whether it's a nurse who showed exceptional compassion during a difficult time, a paramedic who made a lasting impact, a GP, healthcare assistant or hospital porter who always goes the extra mile, Stagecoach wants to hear the stories of the people making a real difference across Portsmouth.

The winning NHS hero will receive a full month of free Stagecoach bus travel, helping make their commute that little bit easier.

People can nominate their NHS hero by commenting on Stagecoach's dedicated 'NHS Heroes' competition post across its official social media channels, sharing the nominee's first name and the story of why they deserve recognition. There is no limit to the number of nominations that can be submitted.

The competition closes on Friday 31 July, with the winner selected and contacted directly by Stagecoach after the closing date.

Alongside the competition, Stagecoach is also highlighting its ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare workers.
