Taking place on Friday, September 4, The Hampshire Business Show Sailing Regatta will see teams of eight go head-to-head out on the waters in their own private Prometheus 41 yacht.

Guests will start with a breakfast at the Harbour Hotel before a morning of practice with a qualified skipper and first mate who will shape them up for an afternoon of racing against each other.

To wind down after a rip-roaring day out on the waves, an afternoon tea and drinks reception complete with prize-giving will give guests the opportunity to make new connections.

Founder of the Hampshire Business Show, Josh Mitchell said: “This will be a great opportunity to motivate your team, entertain clients, strengthen relationships and just enjoy a day out of the office.

“There’s only limited yachts available, so be sure to put your team forward before spaces get snapped up. If you’re looking for ideas for your next away day, look no further!”

Sponsored by training academy Step8Up, the regatta is a precursor to the Hampshire Business Show which will return to the Ageas Bowl this October.

The regatta will also support the Hampshire Business Show’s official charity partner the Saints Foundation which works to improve the lives of people across Southampton.

CEO of Step8Up Academy Jeev Sahoo said: “We wanted to offer an event that was action-packed right from the beginning. Guests can expect excellent hospitality, plenty of networking opportunities and a little friendly competition. Both myself and Josh are so excited to see the regatta come to life in September.”

Running a business can be like sailing - we have to be agile, flexible and responsive to changes all whilst enjoying the adventure. We can’t wait to welcome business leaders to embrace the challenge and have fun at the same time!”
