Regional director and executive principal at The Portsmouth Academy Dan Botting will welcome everyone on arrival, with an overview of Thinking Schools Academy Trust’s vision and mission.
A soon-to-be-announced guest speaker will also be in attendance, sharing their views and insight into pathway into the education sector.
A variety of roles, both in teaching and non-teaching capacities, will be on offer, and Thinking Schools Academy Trust colleagues will be on hand to answer any questions.
Thinking Schools Academy Trust is a growing family of 26 schools across Portsmouth, Devon, Kent and Essex.
Dan spoke about the chance to find new talent from Portsmouth and surrounding areas to support their mission of Transforming Life Chances.
“This is an exciting opportunity for you to hear more about how to get involved in our work at The Portsmouth Academy and across Thinking Schools Academy Trust.
“We have a range of roles, as well as the chance to talk about professional growth and learning which is a really important part of what we offer to all our colleagues”.
The event will also highlight how metacognition – the process of reflective practice to continually improve - is central to their approach in teaching, learning and working practices.
“Metacognition and Thinking Tools are essential to how we go about our work; it’s important for our staff as well as our students.
“We’d also like to hear from you about what you can offer to get involved in supporting our school community as we take the next steps into the new academic year”.
