Regency Living has announced a new partnership with the New Forest Trust, pledging ongoing monthly donations to help protect a landscape of ancient woodland, open heath and free-roaming ponies that has shaped southern England for almost a thousand years.

Under the partnership, Regency Living will donate £500 a month to the Trust, supporting its work to preserve, sustain and enhance the beauty, wildlife and heritage of the New Forest.

First designated by William the Conqueror in 1079 and granted National Park status in 2005, the New Forest spans some 219 square miles of woodland, heath and pasture, making it one of the largest surviving areas of unenclosed countryside in southern England. Its famous free-roaming ponies, cattle and donkeys, which grazed on the open Forest under commoning rights stretching back centuries, are often described as the "architects" of the habitats that make it internationally important for wildlife.

The New Forest Trust supports a wide range of conservation initiatives, educational projects and traditional commoning activities that help safeguard the future of this landscape. Through grants and funding, the Trust works to protect habitats, support biodiversity and promote a greater understanding of the New Forest's environmental and cultural significance.

The partnership carries particular meaning for Regency Living, whose communities - including Solent Grange at Milford-on-Sea and Christchurch Marina Court - sit close to the National Park, with many residents drawn to the area for the very landscape the donations will help protect.

For Regency Living, supporting causes such as the New Forest Trust forms part of a wider belief that successful businesses have an important role to play in supporting the communities and environments around them, and in backing work that delivers meaningful and lasting benefits for future generations.

Tim Simmons, Sales & Marketing Director at Regency Living, said: "We are delighted to begin our partnership with the New Forest Trust and support the exceptional work they undertake across the New Forest. Their commitment to protecting this remarkable landscape, its wildlife and its heritage aligns closely with our own values. Through our monthly donation, we hope to play a small part in helping the Trust continue its important work and ensure the New Forest can be enjoyed by generations to come."

A spokesperson for the New Forest Trust added: "Support from partners such as Regency Living plays a valuable role in helping us continue our work across the New Forest. Their contribution will help fund projects that protect wildlife, preserve important habitats and maintain the special character of the Forest for future generations."

Regency Living and the New Forest Trust will share updates on the projects the funding supports as the work gets underway.
