The Hall, full of colourful blooms had the many visitors surprised by the number of Daffodil varieties , the quality of the blooms and the generosity of exhibitors sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for these sunny flowers.
What an impact these blooms make as they herald the better weather to come with the knowledge that dark, dreary days are definitely on the way out certainly helping the warm friendly atmosphere in the Hall.
With members and visitors enjoying multiple slices of home made cakes and pies it was an opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new. As the show wound down it was a delight to see visitors leaving laden with extra cakes; raffle prizes; plants and phones filled with information about their favourite blooms making for an enjoyable sunny afternoon.
These shows could not happen without our lovely members and community. The hard work in preparing and staging a Show is done by a remarkably small band of willing volunteers who are already preparing for the next Show scheduled for Sunday 23rd August at Crookhorn College, Stakes Hill Road, Waterlooville.
