Property regatta celebrates biggest year yet on the Solent
The South Coast CPS regatta returned for its sixth year with 24 yachts and hundreds of property professionals setting sail across the Solent.

Now recognised as the largest corporate regatta taking place on the Solent, the event saw teams from across the south coast set sail from Port Hamble for a day of racing, networking and team spirit.
Despite a weather forecast that threatened every season in one day, the rain did hold off and the strongest winds at the end of the day helped the teams head swiftly back to the RAF Yacht Club.
The regatta, which is sponsored by Gracelands Civil Engineering and Groundworks and Barratt David Wilson Homes Southampton division saw a hugely competitive fleet with TOR & Co taking the overall win on Espresso Martini.
Fandango came in 2nd with the Waterman Group, and Akins Realis came in a very respectable 3rd place. Line Honours was given to Welborne on board Emily of Cowes. Taking home the wooden spoon was Savills who got caught on the first marker.
Director of South Coast CPS Lucy Richmond said: “This was our biggest regatta yet and the atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic. We had a real mix of conditions out on the water, but somehow managed to dodge the rain completely What makes this event special is that it brings together people from a right across the property industry in a completely different environment. Some teams may sail regularly, others are stepping onto a yacht for the first time, but everyone gets involved and has a brilliant day. To now be recognised as the largest corporate regatta on the Solent is a huge achievement and a reflection of how much support the event has built across the industry over the last five years. We will have to increase out fleet next year for sure!”
Dan Cleary, CEO at Gracelands said: “It’s been yet another fantastic day. This event has grown into a serious regatta and one not to be missed. It’s a great way to get together on the water for experienced and complete novice sailors. We’ve met some great new people and picked up some new skills all whilst having a laugh in the sunshine. We will certainly be back next year and would recommend it to others in the industry.”
The regatta is part of a year-round schedule of events in the lead up to the flagship South Coast CPS conference to be held on the 11th and 12th November at St. Mary’s Stadium.
