The Heritage, Excell, created by Portsmouth-based Excell Metal Spinning Ltd, formally agreed the partnership on Friday 18 September 2026.

The agreement means customers can now see and handle the cookware in person at West Dean Wood Stoves, where a dedicated branded display has been installed showcasing a selection of copper saucepans, frying pans and chef pans.

The Heritage, Excell was developed by Excell Metal Spinning as a way of applying the company’s specialist manufacturing knowledge to a premium British consumer product.

The cookware is produced using traditional metal-forming techniques, with the range centred around British manufacturing, craftsmanship, cooking performance and longevity.

The pans are made from copper and traditionally tin lined, with the intention that the lining can be renewed over time rather than the cookware being discarded once worn.

The new West Dean partnership forms part of the company’s plans to establish a carefully selected network of independent retail partners where customers can properly experience the cookware and understand how it is made.

Curtis Bligh, Head of Marketing & Sales at Excell Metal Spinning Ltd, said: “We are incredibly proud that this cookware is being manufactured here in Portsmouth, and seeing it now beginning to establish a presence with independent retailers is an important step for us.

“The Heritage, Excell was created to demonstrate that cookware of this quality can still be made in Britain using genuine manufacturing skills and traditional processes.

“We don’t want the range simply placed on another shelf. We want to work with retailers who understand craftsmanship, quality and products that are designed to last. West Dean Wood Stoves is a very natural fit for that approach.”

The dedicated display allows customers to see the cookware at close quarters, including its polished copper exterior, traditional tin-lined interiors and British-made detailing.

For Excell Metal Spinning, the development also represents a move into a consumer market different from much of the company’s established precision manufacturing work.

Based in Portsmouth, Excell Metal Spinning specialises in metal spinning, CNC machining, fabrication and associated precision manufacturing processes.

Curtis added:

“There is a great deal of specialist manufacturing knowledge in Portsmouth and across the wider British supply chain.

“Part of what we want The Heritage, Excell to do is put those skills in front of the public. When somebody picks up one of the pans, there is a genuine manufacturing story behind it.

“This partnership gives more people the opportunity to see that for themselves.”

The Heritage, Excell cookware is now on display at West Dean Wood Stoves in Grange Farm Shop, Common Road, Funtington.
