Portsmouth Homecare Provider Named Best in Hampshire at 2026 Care Awards

A Portsmouth homecare provider is celebrating after being named Homecare Provider of the Year at the Hampshire Care Awards 2026.
Right at Home Portsmouth received the prestigious award at the Hampshire Care Awards ceremony, held at the Hilton Utilita Bowl in Southampton on Thursday 24 September.

Organised by Hampshire Care Association, the annual awards celebrate outstanding individuals, teams and organisations working across adult social care in Hampshire, Southampton and Portsmouth. This year's awards received more than 560 nominations across 10 categories, with winners selected following an independent and anonymous judging process.
Right at Home Portsmouth provides care and support to people in their own homes across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas, helping people to remain safe, independent and connected to their communities.
The team was also represented among the individual finalists, with long-standing carer Angela O'Brien shortlisted for Carer of the Year.
Managing Director Joe Morgan said: “To be named Homecare Provider of the Year is an incredible honour for our whole team. Our carers are out in the community every single day supporting people to remain living independently in their own homes, and this award belongs to every one of them.

“We are incredibly proud to be a Portsmouth-based business and to have our team's work recognised across Hampshire. Most importantly, we would like to thank our clients and their families for putting their trust in us.”
The award adds to a growing list of recognition for the family-run provider, which is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission and has previously received awards for its contribution to the local community, its employees and the people it supports.
The Hampshire Care Awards brought together more than 200 people from across the care sector to celebrate the contribution made by those working in adult social care throughout the county.
For the Right at Home Portsmouth team, the award is particularly meaningful because it recognises the collective work taking place every day – from carers delivering support in people's homes to the office team coordinating care, training and supporting staff.
Right at Home Portsmouth said the team is delighted to bring the Homecare Provider of the Year award back to Portsmouth and will continue its focus on providing compassionate, high-quality care to local people and their families.
