Physio-logical Conquer the London to Brighton Bike Ride for Charity

Natalie March and James Morris, founder and clinical lead therapist respectively at Physio-logical, the Stansted Park-based Physiotherapy clinic, have successfully completed the iconic London to Brighton Bike Ride, cycling 54 miles from the heart of the capital to the South Coast in a remarkable display of endurance, determination and teamwork.

The pair set off in the early hours of Sunday 21st June, joining tens of thousands of riders taking on one of the UK’s best-loved cycling challenges. Battling undulating terrain, the notorious climb of Ditchling Beacon, Natalie and James crossed the finish line on Brighton seafront together, to the delight of family, friends, and their Physio-logical colleagues.

Speaking after the ride, Natalie March said: “It was tough, but it was great to do. I signed up to do it 12 years ago then I was told by my doctor I shouldn’t do it as I am not normally a cyclist. As a Physiotherapist, I spend every day helping people move better and look after their bodies, so it felt only right that I should put my own training and resilience to the test. Crossing that finish line in Brighton, alongside someone I work with, was an incredible feeling. We did it for British Heart Foundation.”

James Morris added: “Training for this ride alongside a full clinical caseload was no small feat, but it gave me a real appreciation for what we ask of our own patients every day, pushing through discomfort, staying consistent, and trusting the process. Ditchling Beacon nearly finished us both off, but we got up it together, which felt very fitting.”

The London to Brighton Bike Ride is one of the UK’s largest charity cycling events, raising vital funds for the British Heart Foundation since its inception. Thousands of cyclists of all abilities take part each year, with routes taking riders through the rolling hills of the South Downs before a triumphant finish on Brighton’s seafront.

Natalie and James’ participation reflects Physio-logical’s wider ethos of leading by example. The clinic, based within the grounds of the historic Stansted Park estate in Rowlands Castle, has built its reputation on a hands-on, caring approach to physiotherapy, sports massage and rehabilitation, and the team regularly takes part in local sporting and community events.

The team at Physio-logical are enormously proud of Natalie and James’s achievement, and the clinic plans to celebrate the milestone with the wider team in the coming weeks.
