Facilities are planned to include en-suite bedrooms, lounges, a café, activities room, cinema, hair and beauty salon and spa bathrooms.

The home will also have an on-site marketing suite, which Barchester says is expected to open to the local community and prospective visitors in summer 2028.

Grant Jensen, senior property development manager at Barchester, said: “We are really excited to get this project under way. Our Liss home will be a fantastic addition to the local community.”

Craig Smallman, contracts manager at Kori Construction, said the company was “delighted” to be starting the project and looking forward to bringing the development to Liss.

The home has not yet been named.
