Nabiha Fatima from Hampshire joins UK Jamboree welcoming Scouts from around the world
Nabiha Fatima, a Scout from Hampshire has taken part in a large-scale camping experience at Gilwell Park, as the Muslim Scout Fellowship hosted its third International Jamboree.

Nabiha aged 13, was among the 3,000 Scouts attending the event, which ran from 23 to 26 July and brought together young people from across the UK and overseas. Scouts attending from the Jamboree are travelling from as far away as Brunei, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Luxemburg, Spain, Kuwait and Italy
Built around themes of unity, cultural connection and personal growth, the jamboree created a space for young people to come together, share experiences and develop new skills for life.
The four-day event was crammed full of fun and adventure, with activities such as Paddle boarding, crafting, Digger driving, a Driving school, Rugby, golf and learning mechanical skills. The activities on offer gave those young people attending the chance to try something new and create lifelong memories and friendships.
Nabiha Fatima said: "This is my first ever international camp. I’ve met other Scout groups which is the thing I’ve been most excited about. I’m having a great time, it’s very hot though!”
The Muslim Scout Fellowship International Jamboree is one of several events organised to bring Scouts together in a spirit of community, fun and skill development.
Humaairah Jama, Jamboree Lead said:
“Having joined the Scout movement at the influential age of 14 I have witnessed first hand how these adventures change lives. Not only do I see it week in, week out from my own Explorer Unit in East London I also see it from the work we do with groups across the UK where we give young people a safe place to belong.”
She added: “Leaders who a few years ago joined us for their first ever camps, looking lost and unprepared, are now leading with confidence and experience. It has been a privilege to lead such a young team who throughout our Jamboree journey have gone above and beyond to deliver a great experience for young people”
The Muslim Scout Fellowship International Jamboree continues to grow and welcome more young people to experience a life-changing event. Generously supported by Dacia, whose funding made this outdoor adventure affordable, the Jamboree hopes to return in 2030 to give even more young people a place to belong.
