Marriott House and Lodge residents celebrate love and community at Chichester Pride

Residents from Marriott House and Lodge Care Home were delighted to join the local community in celebrating Chichester Pride, where they watched the vibrant Pride parade and enjoyed the joyful atmosphere of the day.

In the week leading up to the event, residents spent time decorating a special banner with the words “Choose Love”, a message chosen to reflect the spirit of Pride and the home’s commitment to kindness, inclusion and community.

The outing gave residents the opportunity to be part of a much-loved local event, celebrating diversity, togetherness and acceptance. Residents enjoyed watching the parade, taking in the music, colour and energy, and sharing in the sense of joy that filled the city.

Operations Manager Skye Williams of Marriott House and Lodge said: “We were so pleased to take our residents along to Chichester Pride and be part of such a wonderful community celebration. The residents really enjoyed preparing the banner together during the week, and ‘Choose Love’ felt like the perfect message to share. It was a joyful day, full of warmth, colour and connection, and we were proud to stand alongside our local community.”
