Make a Denza date with Snows and check out exciting new model in Waterlooville
Motorists in the Portsmouth area who are interested in finding out about an exciting new car brand that’s heading to the UK can check it out this weekend.
The manufacturer in question is Denza – a premium sub-brand of BYD, the Chinese EV and PHEV specialist which has been taking the country by storm since its arrival on our shores three years ago.
From July 10-12, an eye-catching new Denza model – the Bao 5 – will be on display at BYD Waterlooville in Elettra Avenue.
The Bao 5 is a robust yet luxurious SUV, which has been described as ‘‘powerful, superbly equipped and ruggedly handsome’’. Produced as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), its powertrain features a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with front and rear electric motors.
A limited number of interested customers will be able to enjoy a test-drive in the car during the three days of the event. And V2 Radio will be broadcasting live from the showroom on Saturday July 11 to add some excitement and receive feedback from visitors lucky enough to have enjoyed time behind the wheel.
The Denza event at Snows BYD Waterlooville coincides with the manufacturer having a stand at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, a year after the Bao 5 made its world debut at the same gathering.
Originally established in 2010 as a joint venture between BYD and Mercedes-Benz Group (then Daimler), Denza has evolved into a BYD flagship premium brand, with a strong focus on luxury, advanced EV technology, and high-performance plug-in hybrid systems.
The event at Snows BYD Waterlooville this weekend comes as work continues apace on the site, which is undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment project.
BYD is known for producing high-quality and great-value electric and hybrid vehicles and Snows represents the Chinese manufacturer at six locations across southern and South-West England.
