Major Portsmouth bus operator urges charities to apply for Community Grants
Major Portsmouth bus operator, Stagecoach South, has encouraged charities and community groups across the region to apply for support through its ongoing Community Grants programme.
The grants form part of Stagecoach’s wider sustainability work and are overseen by its charity committee, Stagecoach – Giving for Good, which helps decide where support can make the biggest difference locally. Funding is focused on four areas:

- Health and wellbeing
- Young people, skills and employment
- Loneliness and social isolation
- Accessibility and opportunity
As well as working with national charities, Stagecoach South is keen to support smaller, local organisations. A monthly fund is available to provide one-off grants to local charities and community projects that need help.
Charities and community groups can apply online. Applications are reviewed on the first Wednesday of each month and must be submitted before the last Friday of the previous month to be considered.
Marc Reddy, Managing Director of Stagecoach South, said:
“If you’re a local organisation making a difference in our communities, especially in supporting children, young people, or health and wellbeing, we would love to hear from you. Our grants of up to £500 may be small, but we know they can have a big impact for many groups. We’re always keen to connect with those who could benefit, so we strongly encourage you to apply.”
