Local Slimming World Consultant celebrates successful group move
Mel Knibbs, a dedicated Slimming World Consultant, is celebrating a successful new chapter after relocating her popular Monday evening group at the beginning of March.
The move to South Downs College in Waterlooville, which was carefully planned to ensure minimal disruption to members, has already proven to be a positive step forward. Members have embraced the new venue, enjoying a welcoming atmosphere that continues to support their weight loss journeys. Now, one month on from the move, there is even more to celebrate. In just four weeks at the new venue, members have achieved an incredible combined weight loss of 225 pounds – the equivalent of 16 stone.

Mel, who has built a strong and supportive community through her group, said she was delighted with how smoothly the transition has gone. “Our members are at the heart of everything we do, so it was really important that the move felt right for them. I’m so proud of how everyone has adapted and continued to support one another. To see such fantastic results in our first month here has been amazing.”
Slimming World groups are known for their warm, encouraging environment, and Mel’s group is no exception. The new location at South Downs College in Waterlooville offers a comfortable space for members to share experiences, celebrate achievements, and stay motivated. Since the move, attendance has remained strong, with both existing and new members joining the sessions. Mel is looking forward to continuing to grow the group and helping more people in the community achieve their health and wellbeing goals. The Monday evening group remains open to anyone who would like to join, with a friendly welcome guaranteed, sessions are 5pm & 6.30pm and everyone is welcome. Mel also runs Wednesday Slimming World groups all day in Purbrook, 9am, 10.30am, 4.30pm, 6pm & 7.30pm.
