The March event saw an outstanding community response with Jetts Gym raising circa an impressive £30,000 for the charity, helping to fund vital support for individuals and families affected by cancer across the local area.

The upcoming event will take place on Saturday 27 June 2026 from 8am to 8pm at HMS Temeraire Athletics Track, bringing together teams from across Portsmouth for a challenging and inspiring day of fitness, teamwork and fundraising.

Participants can compete in teams of two or four in a hybrid endurance race format designed to test both physical resilience and mental strength. Each race will include a combination of running and structured workout stations. Teams must complete all running sections together while splitting efforts across the fitness stations, ensuring constant teamwork and strategy throughout the event.

The workout stations will feature a range of high intensity functional exercises including the Assault Bike, Ski Erg, Rower, Dumbbell Snatch, Bike Erg, Walking Lunges, Burpees and Kettlebell Farmers Carry. Teams will rotate through these stations while completing their running segments, with up to five races scheduled across the day. Each race begins two hours after the previous start time, pushing competitors to manage recovery, pacing and endurance across the full event.

Alongside the competition, participants will also have access to dedicated recovery facilities on site including ice baths and a wood fired sauna. Jetts Gym Portsmouth would like to extend a special thank you to Stuart and the team at local company PLNGE, who are proudly sponsoring the event and will be providing these recovery services free of charge on the day, all included within the ticket price.

Entry costs £30 per participant and includes an official event T-shirt, completion medal and refreshments throughout the day.

All funds raised from the event will go directly to Friends Fighting Cancer’s Grant Service, which provides vital financial support to individuals in the local area who are living with cancer or who are seriously ill. These grants help cover essential costs such as household bills when individuals are no longer able to work, travel expenses to and from treatment, and the ability to create lasting memories with loved ones during incredibly difficult times.

The work that Friends Fighting Cancer carries out locally continues to make a significant difference to families across the community, and Jetts Gym Portsmouth are proud to support the charity and help raise crucial funds through these events.

Mark Legg, Co Owner of Jetts Gym Portsmouth, said: “The support we saw at our last charity event in March was unbelievable. Raising around £30,000 was something we are incredibly proud of and it really showed what this community can achieve when it comes together for a cause like this. We knew straight away that we wanted to do something again, and even bigger this year.”

Joel Kirby, Co Owner of Jetts Gym Portsmouth, added: “This event is all about bringing people together for a cause that truly matters. It is physically demanding but the purpose behind it is what drives everyone involved. We are proud to use fitness as a way to make a real difference in the community.”
