Hovertravel announces plans to keep customers informed about 2027 Lee-on-the-Solent flights
Customers invited to register their interest following successful 2026 summer programme
Hovertravel has announced that it will be looking at further opportunities to operate special hovercraft flights between Lee-on-Solent and the Isle of Wight in summer 2027, following the outstanding success of this year's services.
While no dates for 2027 have yet been confirmed, customers can now register their interest online to be among the first to hear when next year's flights are announced.
The special 2026 services attracted exceptional interest, with Hovertravel receiving more than 3,000 enquiries from across the Solent and beyond. The flights proved popular with passengers travelling in both directions, with Isle of Wight residents visiting Lee-on-Solent and mainland customers using the hovercraft to enjoy a day out in Ryde and across the Island.
Hovertravel is now encouraging anyone interested in travelling between Lee-on-Solent and Ryde in 2027 to register online.
By registering their interest, customers will be the first to receive notification when the 2027 dates are confirmed and released for booking.
Hovertravel will also endeavour to announce the 2027 programme earlier, giving customers more time to plan their visits and day trips.

We have seen a huge amount of enthusiasm from customers on both sides of the Solent, and it has been particularly pleasing to see people travelling in both directions and discovering what each destination has to offer.
"Following the success of the 2026 programme, we are already looking at opportunities for 2027. We don't have any dates to announce just yet, but we want to make sure that customers who are keen to travel are the first to know when we do.
"We're therefore asking customers to register their interest on our website. This will ensure they receive the news as soon as the 2027 dates are confirmed. We also recognise that customers want more time to plan, so we will endeavour to announce next year's flights earlier.
