Hayling Care Home staff member makes national award finals

Wimborne Care Home is an especially well-regarded care home on Hayling Island. They are absolutely delighted to announced that a treasured member of their care team; Milan Patel, has been voted the Carer of the Year for the South West division of Barchester.

Milan is one of the many happy smiling faces from their care team at Wimborne. He is a highly appreciated – many would say ‘adored’ by residents and their families. These individuals along with Milan’s colleagues were responsible for this Nationwide nomination. The panel have awarded him District Winner and the next step is Nationl finals. Milan been with Wimborne for 4 years and is a truly treasured part of the team.

In addition, Milan’s wife Zarna also works at Wimborne – different shifts as they have a young family, but they are a couple who care greatly and have chosen to work in the same place because they ae happy, fulfilled and rewarded by their work

General Manager, Kelly Brown said; ‘We deeply appreciate the dedication and kindness of Milan, he was a very popular nominee and we are not in the least surprised that he has won for our district – he always goes the extra mile, he always smiles, is kind, caring, obliging and hugely reassuring.
