Havant Installer shortlisted for major national award
Andrew Pepper of JB Refrigeration Ltd in Havant, Portsmouth, has been shortlisted for Best Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Installer (Best HVAC Installer) at the Heating Installer Awards 2026.
As one of only four HVAC installers to be shortlisted out of thousands across the UK, Andrew now enters the final stages of the competition, where he’s in with the chance of being crowned the overall national winner.
To secure the shortlist, Andrew entered a project for his client Amanda, who had moved to a beautiful log cabin and required a reliable solution for both heating and cooling. The open-plan log cabin was timber frame, with no gas source. The insulation in the cabin meant that the cabin could be very hot in summer and very cold in winter.
After taking time to assess the property and talk extensively to his client, he recommended a system that ticked all the boxes, delivering heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer. The team at JB Refrigeration fitted a unit in her garden, out of view of those who would enjoy the space. The chosen solution would ensure the client had efficiency, comfort and quiet performance all year round.
His client explained her thoughts: “I am really pleased with the completed project in my log cabin. Andy and the team took the time to listen to all my needs, were patient with my decision making and worked extremely neatly - they even hoovered when the project was finished! I would absolutely recommend JB Refrigeration to anyone that has heating or cooling needs – thank you, Andy and all the team.”
Established over 11 years ago to raise the credibility and celebrate the achievements of the best installers across the UK, the nationwide awards scheme champions heating installers who deliver exemplary work for homeowners month in, month out.
Representatives from the awards’ partners and sponsors Danfoss, Powered Now, Samsung Climate Solutions, Stelrad, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, InstallerSHOW and Refresh, as well as a team of previous winning installers, judged the entries on problem solving, product knowledge and stand out work.
The winners will be announced on 24th June 2026 at InstallerSHOW, taking place at Birmingham NEC.
